Brushstrokes of the Rainforest City
雨林城市的筆觸
此件作品是在2023年至馬來西亞的古晉駐村回來後的創作，作品靈感來自城市的建築菱形結構與雨林的綠色植被。因此，在作品上，樹皮的立體呈現出地形和山脈的模擬，並用綠色棉線繪製山脈的等高線圖，以棉線包縫在樹皮布上，也以棉線的不規則線條賦予作品更多層次的維度，來表達筆觸的質感。
This piece was created after my 2023 residency in Kuching, Malaysia. Inspired by urban architecture's diamond structures and rainforest greenery, it uses three-dimensional bark to simulate terrain and mountains. Green cotton threads depict contour lines and are sewn onto the bark cloth, adding irregular lines for depth and texture.
